Moving from Bridebook takes an evening.

Your guest list is the part that matters, and it comes across in minutes. Here is the order we’d do it in.

  1. 1

    Bring your guest list

Upload a spreadsheet, or paste the names one per line. PlanHitch matches the columns it finds (names, first and last names, emails, phone numbers, dietary needs) and shows you every row before anything is added. If your list only lives in another app, copy it out in whatever way that app allows: selecting the names and pasting them works.

  2. 2

    Add what you've booked

Venue, photographer, band: add each supplier, then put what you've paid and what's still due in your budget. The free plan holds 5 suppliers; Premium holds more.

  3. 3

    Have your venue contract read

Upload the contract you signed, or the one you're about to. You'll see the deposit and cancellation terms in plain English, and the clauses worth pushing back on. Your first review is free.

  4. 4

    Turn on your website

It fills itself in from your plan: the day's running order, the venues you've confirmed, travel notes and RSVPs. Free on every plan, at a planhitch.com address.

Questions

Do I have to stop using Bridebook?
No. If you're still looking for a venue, its directory is big and worth using. Plenty of couples search in one place and plan in another.
How long does moving take?
For most couples, an evening. The guest list is the longest part, and pasting or uploading it takes a few minutes. You can check and fix rows before they're added.
Will my guests notice?
Only if you've already sent them something with a link. Your new RSVPs and invitations come from PlanHitch, with your names on them.
What does it cost?
The free plan has no time limit and covers up to 50 guests, the website, the seating plan and one contract review. Premium adds the invitation designer, the planning assistant and room for 200 guests.
