Plans, trials and billing
PlanHitch has a free plan with no time limit, plus Premium (£15 a month or £149 once) and Unlimited (£25 a month or £249 once) for couples. Your first paid plan starts with a 7-day free trial with no card needed. You can switch between Premium and Unlimited on the Plans page, and a couple's paid plan stops by itself 3 months after the wedding.
Works on: Every plan · Updated 26 October 2026
How to do it
- 1
Open the Plans page
Select your name in the top bar and choose "Subscription". Or go to Settings and choose "Compare plans" under "Plan and billing".
- 2
Choose how to pay
Use the switch at the top of the page to pick "Monthly" or "Pay once". The prices and notes on each plan change to match.
- 3
Start the upgrade
Choose "Upgrade to Premium" or "Upgrade to Unlimited". You finish on a secure Stripe checkout. If you've never had a paid plan, it starts with a 7-day free trial and no card is needed.
- 4
Check your plan in Settings
Go to Settings, then "Plan and billing", to see your plan, its status, your next payment or the date your plan ends, and the card you pay with. Your invoices are listed underneath.
Plans are per wedding
A plan belongs to one wedding. When you upgrade, you upgrade the wedding you're in, and everyone you've invited to that wedding works within its plan.
Free
Free has no time limit. It includes an unlimited guest list and invitations, the invitation editor and custom templates, a wedding website, guest list import from a spreadsheet, the venue pack and one contract review per wedding.
It allows 5 tables, 20 budget lines, 5 vendors, 3 venues and 2 people on the wedding, including you. Your website and the venue pack show "Made with PlanHitch".
Premium
Premium is £15 a month, or £149 paid once. It raises the limits to 30 tables, 100 budget lines, 20 vendors, 10 venues and 5 people on the wedding, and gives you unlimited contract reviews.
It adds Your planner, the AI planner, with up to 150 messages a month per wedding. It also adds AI seating and budget help, guest email campaigns, video wishes and the video wishes film, your own web address for your website, the option to remove "Made with PlanHitch", and ready-made venue pack versions for each supplier.
Unlimited
Unlimited is £25 a month, or £249 paid once. It includes everything in Premium, with no limit on tables, budget lines, vendors, venues or people on the wedding, and up to 400 planner messages a month per wedding.
Planner messages are a fair-use allowance. The count starts again on the 1st of each month.
Early couples price
While the early couples price is open, couples who choose "Monthly" pay £12 a month for Premium or £20 a month for Unlimited. You keep that price until your plan ends, even after the offer closes.
It closes at the end of 31 January 2027, or sooner once 300 couples have taken it. While it's open, the Plans page shows "Early couples price, kept until your wedding" under the monthly prices. If you don't see that, the offer has closed.
The free trial
Your account's first paid plan starts with a 7-day free trial, whether you choose "Monthly" or "Pay once". You don't need a card to start it.
If you haven't added a card by the end of the trial, the trial is cancelled, nothing is charged and the wedding goes back to the free plan. Everything you added during the trial stays. To keep your paid plan, add a card before the trial ends: go to Settings, then "Plan and billing", and choose "Manage billing".
There's one trial per account. If you signed up through a friend's referral link, your first month is free instead of the trial.
Monthly or pay once
"Monthly" charges you each month and stops by itself 3 months after your wedding, so you're not charged for a wedding that's over.
"Pay once" is a single payment that covers you until 3 months after your wedding, for up to 24 months from when you bought it. It never renews. In Settings it shows the date it's "Covered until".
Switching between Premium and Unlimited
If you're the person paying, open the Plans page and choose "Switch to Unlimited" or "Switch to Premium". PlanHitch tells you what the switch costs before you confirm, and the new plan starts straight away.
On "Monthly", moving up charges the difference for the rest of this month today, on the card you pay with. The exact amount is shown before you confirm. After that you pay the new monthly price. Moving down takes what's left of this month on your old plan off your next bill. If you have the early couples price, you keep it on the new plan.
On "Pay once", moving up to Unlimited costs the difference between the two one-off prices, £100, charged once. You can't switch down from a pay-once plan, because it's already paid for.
During your free trial, switching costs nothing. The trial carries on with the new plan.
Only the person who pays for the plan can switch it. If the card is declined, your plan doesn't change.
When your plan ends by itself
A couple's paid plan ends 90 days after the wedding date. Settings, under "Plan and billing", shows the date as "Plan ends" (monthly) or "Covered until" (pay once).
If you change your wedding date, the end date moves with it.
If you start a monthly plan less than a month before that end date, it won't stop by itself. Cancel it when you're finished.
Cancelling
Go to Settings, then "Plan and billing", and choose "Cancel subscription". Your plan carries on until the end of the month you've paid for, and the status changes to "Cancels at the end of this period", with the date under "Access until". Changed your mind? Choose "Resume subscription" before then.
You can also cancel, update your card and download invoices by choosing "Manage billing", which opens Stripe's billing page. During a free trial, cancel from "Manage billing".
What happens to your wedding when a plan ends
When a paid plan ends, whether you cancelled, the trial finished without a card or it stopped after the wedding, the wedding goes back to the free plan. Nothing is deleted. If you have more tables or budget lines than the free plan allows, they stay, but you can't add more. Your website shows "Made with PlanHitch" again.
To take a copy of your data, go to Settings and choose "Export" next to "Your data". Deleting the wedding or your account is separate, under "Delete" in Settings, and you're asked to type a confirmation first. Deleting your account also cancels any subscription.
Plans for wedding planners
Planners have their own plans. Starter is free for up to 2 weddings. Professional is £49 a month or £490 a year for up to 15 weddings. Studio is £119 a month or £1,190 a year for up to 50 weddings.
Planner plans start with a 14-day free trial, renew as normal and don't stop after a wedding. Each wedding a planner runs gets higher limits than a couple's plan at the same level.
Questions
Do I need a card for the free trial?
No. If you haven't added one by the end of the 7 days, the wedding goes back to the free plan and nothing is charged.
Can we move from Premium to Unlimited later?
Yes. The person paying chooses "Switch to Unlimited" on the Plans page. On "Monthly" you pay the difference for the rest of this month today. On "Pay once" you pay the difference between the one-off prices, £100. In a free trial nothing is charged.
Can we move down from Unlimited to Premium?
On "Monthly", yes: the switch is immediate and what's left of this month comes off your next bill. On "Pay once", no, because the plan is already paid for.
Will I keep being charged after the wedding?
No. A couple's monthly plan stops by itself 3 months after the wedding date, and "Pay once" never renews. The only exception is a monthly plan started less than a month before that date, which you cancel yourself.
If I cancel, do I lose my plan straight away?
No. You keep it until the end of the month you've paid for, then the wedding goes back to the free plan.
If we go back to the free plan, do we lose anything?
No. Your guests, budget, suppliers and everything else stay. The free plan's limits only stop you adding more.
Does my partner need their own plan?
No. The plan belongs to the wedding, so everyone invited to it shares it.
Can I get another free trial?
No, there's one trial per account. It's only offered if you've never had a subscription.

- Getting started with PlanHitchCreate an account, choose "We're getting married", then add both your names and your wedding date. Everything else in setup is optional. Add your partner's email during setup, or later from Settings, then Collaborators, and they join the same wedding as an Owner, even if they don't have an account yet.
- Review a venue or supplier contractUpload a contract PDF or paste the text, and PlanHitch reads it for you: a short summary, the clauses that matter, which points to raise, which to check and which are fine, and the money and dates. The review is kept with the venue or supplier it belongs to. Free includes one contract review per wedding, and Premium and Unlimited include unlimited reviews. It is not legal advice.
- Plan by talking to Your plannerTell Your planner what's changed, by typing or dictating, and it writes it into your plan: guests, seating, the running order, the budget and your suppliers. It can also remove things, asking first. Each reply lists exactly what it changed, and the latest reply's changes can be undone in one go. It's on Premium and Unlimited.
- Set up your wedding website and gift listGo to Website in the sidebar and choose Create website. It fills itself in from your plan and stays a draft until you choose Publish website. The website and gift list are on every plan. Using your own domain needs Premium or Unlimited. PlanHitch never handles gift money: guests give through your own link.
- Use PlanHitch from ChatGPT or ClaudeYou can connect one PlanHitch wedding to ChatGPT or Claude on any plan, including Free. The assistant can read your plan, add, change or remove guests, running order items, budget lines and suppliers, and review a contract you paste in. It tells you what it changed, can undo its own changes, and you can disconnect it at any time in Settings under "Connected assistants".
